FEDORA

FEDORA project aims to develop an integrated and federated platform for advanced traffic and multimodal mobility management, promoting sustainable, resilient, and inclusive mobility in both urban and rural environments. It is based on data integration, advanced simulation, artificial intelligence, and control models that optimize traffic management, reduce congestion and emissions, and improve road safety. The platform ensures interoperability and secure data exchange through technologies such as interoperable data spaces and blockchain, respecting data privacy and sovereignty.

The project will be validated in six European demonstrator pilots, coordinated by the Basque Mobility and Logistics Cluster, and is supported by a multidisciplinary consortium including universities, local authorities, and industry. Its goals include the development of flexible data models, simulation tools, dynamic traffic control, secure data exchange mechanisms, and socially fair optimization models that take into account equity and sustainability. The project promotes collaborative governance and training in gender equality and bias reduction.
